...Strange Idols ride again!... ...take a listen here to some new stuff.

|
Strange Idols was formed in early 1991 by chance when Kieren and Scott both
advertised in the same edition of a weekly music paper.
Scott joined Kieren and Justin to form
what was to become Strange Idols Mk1.

Securing the support slot for the NSW Rebel Yell Guitar Challenge Tour saw the
beginning of eight months gigging around the Sydney and
NSW circuit. Audience reaction - to a new and un-tried
band was extraordinary and backed up by favourable
reviews in the Sydney music press.

|
From then to 1995 the band played the Sydney circuit and went
through a couple of record companies trying to find a
supportive home. The band recorded a whole album at
Australia's premier studio, EMI 301 and that album -
which was to be titled 'The Learning' - remains in the
archives there today.

Since then there has been a lot of water under the bridge,
Scott has returned to New Zealand to live so the band is
effectively defunct. The debut album Live Forever has been
released in a limited format only and is available on request.
